An dinner and show to launch a Greening Villages Campaign for 4,500 farmers living in 16 villages in the eastern hills of Nepal.

Come and lend your support to the 4th Annual Hope for Nepal Fundraiser being organized by former Nepal RPCV, Rajeev Goyal (Nepal 01-03) and Kathmandu-born young architect, Priyanka Bista to support 4,500 farmers living in 16 villages in Dhankuta district in the eastern hills of Nepal.  Funds raised at the dinner will help launch the Greening Villages Movement which, through creative campaigns and projects integrating agriculture, architecture, and education, will pioneer a robust response to the recent toll of urbanization and environmental harm that is infiltrating Nepal’s villages.

The dinner and show will feature exciting presentations by Bombay-born musical artist FALU, founder of Odegard, Inc., Stephanie Odegard, Director of Sustainable Education at Prescott College, Pramod Parajuli. Come meet and mingle with expected special guests in the audience including best selling author of 13 novels and former Nepal Peace Corps Volunteer, Laurence Leamer, Acting Director of the United States Peace Corps and former volunteer in Tunisia, Jody Olsen, members of the UN Diplomat Corps in New York, and other service leaders

Listen to mellifluous music by Bombay-born Falu, Nepalese dances, videos and exhibits, and enjoy a delicious Nepalese dinner catered by the Himalayan Yak!  Tickets are only $20/$10 for students.

All proceeds benefit the Phul Maya Foundation’s environmental and agriculture projects in eastern Nepal.  If you cannot attend but would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please send checks made out to “Phul Maya Foundation, Ltd.” to P.O.
